Faridkot Wants You to Boycott Circuses

Posted on by PETA

We’ve been fans of Faridkot ever since the release of their debut album, Ek. Seriously, it’s almost physically impossible not to groove along to “Laila” and “Haal-e-Dil”. That said, we were super-psyched when the members of the band sat down to talk to us in an exclusive interview for PETA Youth. And let’s just put it this way – “confused pop” may be their genre, but Faridkot is anything but confused when it comes to how they feel about animals in circuses. Lead singer IP Singh didn’t hesitate to speak out against the misery that animals endure in such circumstances. In the interview, the band calls for fans to say no to circuses and urges young people to attend concerts instead. Check out more from the band below.

We couldn’t have said it better! Thankfully, we are starting to make some progress for animals in circuses. Just recently, elephants and other animals were rescued from two circuses. While that’s a mammoth-sized victory, we need you to help us bring about a ban on the use of all animals in Indian circuses.
