People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA) India is looking to hire for the role of Corporate Affairs Liaison, to influence corporate policies so that they’re in the best interests of animals.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Initiate and execute various projects designed to encourage companies and the general public to treat animals more humanely
  • Decide on and maintain effective contacts with relevant people in companies in order to further PETA’s work
  • Conduct research concerning corporate positions on animal-welfare issues
  • Develop, manage, and execute campaign plans and agendas
  • Brainstorm new and creative ways to work with companies in order to advocate for animal-protection issues and to advance campaigns
  • Work closely with various PETA teams, including those dealing with campaigns, the media, celebrities, and online marketing
  • Communicate with executives of corporations via letters, phone calls, and meetings
  • Prepare and deliver presentations to company executives in order to make the case for animal-welfare changes
  • Represent PETA to the media, upon request, and to the general public
  • Attend meetings in order to brainstorm and develop strategies
  • Travel when necessary to attend meetings or other required engagements
  • Perform any other duties assigned by the supervisor

Who can Apply

The candidate applying for this role must fulfil the following requirements:

  • Degree in a related field
  • Minimum of five years of relevant experience
  • Thorough knowledge of animal rights issues and PETA campaigns

  • Demonstrated ability to create and deliver effective presentations, address and overcome objections, and negotiate and close deals
  • Proven ability to work creatively and generate new strategies and ideas
  • Ability to exercise independent judgement
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Understanding of corporate hierarchies and structures
  • Ability to organise and manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines
  • Ability to interact and communicate with a variety of people in a professional manner
  • Ability to represent the organisation to the public in a professional manner
  • Ability to handle confidential information with discretion
  • Ability and willingness to travel
