Thalipeeth

1 small piece ginger
1 green chilli, finely chopped
Coriander, to taste
1 onion, finely chopped
1 cup rice flour or jowar
Water
Salt, to taste
Oil for frying

  • Grind the ginger, chilli and coriander and add the chopped onion.
  • Mix with the rice flour and salt. Add water and knead until the mixture has the consistency of dough.
  • Pour a little oil in a frying pan. Pat a small piece of dough until it is flat and thin like a chapatti. With your finger, make four holes in the dough and pour some more oil through the holes. Shallow fry on one side only.
  • Serve with pickle or chutney.
