Hummus (without Tahini)

• 2 cups of chickpeas (garbanzo beans), drained
• 1/4 cup of lemon juice
• 1 tablespoon of olive oil or sunflower oil
• 2 garlic cloves, crushed
• A pinch of salt
• 1 tsp of Mixed herbs
• Water
• ¼ tsb of Coriander Powder
• ½ tsb of Cumin seeds
• 1 green chilly (optional)

1. Put the chick-peas with some water in the blender and grind for 30-45 seconds
2. Add all the other ingredients in the blender and keep grinding till it gets mixed and becomes a thick paste
3. Slowly add half of the oil and some water and keep blending for few seconds with regular intervals
4. Add some more water and grind for 1-2 minutes till you get the desired consistency
