Hyderabad Man is PETA’s Volunteer of The Year

PETA India has named Hyderabad resident Manpreeth Singh Nishter its Volunteer of the Year. PETA counts on Nishter to help during its celebrity photo-shoots and events in the city such as this one against cockfighting featuring Jwala Gutta, and to help coordinate its eye-catching street theatre style demonstrations in Hyderabad. As a member of the government Committee for the Purpose of Control and Supervision of Experiments on Animals, Nishter works to reduce the number and suffering of animals used in experiments.

A longtime vegan, Nishter also serves as the Honorary Secretary for both Blue Cross of Hyderabad and People for Animals, Hyderabad and he volunteers with Hyderabad Vegans to promote cruelty-free eating.

In addition to his busy volunteer schedule, Nishter works as a Regional Sales Manager for a multinational corporation and enjoys pottery and photography.
