PETA Is Wellness Forever’s NGO Partner for Well-A-Thon

This year’s Well-A-Thon – a fun marathon presented by Wellness Forever Lifestyle Chemists & Supermarket and Thadomal Shahani Engineering College – begins at 7 am on 6 March, and PETA has been chosen as the event’s NGO partner.

Wellness Forever supports PETA’s campaign for dog and cat adoptions and hopes to encourage participants and marathon well-wishers to help ensure that all companion animals have loving homes and responsible caregivers who make certain that their canine and feline friends are sterilised, have good food, a comfortable bed, lots of toys and attention, and proper veterinary care. PETA will be present at Well-A-Thon to provide information on these and other animal-protection issues.

Sterilisation can prevent countless unwanted animals from being born only to struggle to survive on the streets, face abuse by cruel or neglectful people or end up in animal shelters. And every time someone buys a puppy or kitten from a breeder or pet shop, dogs and cats in animal shelters lose their chance at finding a loving home.

Well-A-Thon starts at majestic Bandra Fort and proceeds along the picturesque Bandstand Promenade, towards the serene Carter Road area. The route ends at Thadomal Shahani Engineering College, where the closing ceremony will be held and medals will be presented.
