PETA India’s Exciting Youth Booth at Mood Indigo 2022

Posted on by Shreya Manocha

PETA Youth brought fun, compassion, and information to Mood Indigo, the largest college cultural festival in Asia. The Mumbai event hosted over 1,46,000 students from more than 2000 colleges across India. The PETA Youth booth was there with games, free educational materials, cool photo ops, and goodies like wristbands, badges, and tote bags.

PETA India’s youth division empowers teens and 20-somethings to get involved with animal rights through exciting, edgy initiatives and educational programmes. Our booth at Mood Indigo featured the theme “End Oppression, End Speciesism”, spreading the message that no species is inferior to another and humans do not have the moral right to exploit other animals.

The thousands of young students who visited our booth had the opportunity to sign our petition urging the government to impose stronger penalties for animal abuse, grab free goodies, and participate in a quiz show that prompted them to rethink some of their ethics and beliefs.
