Garicature’s Colourful Images Remind Humans to Share the World

Posted on by PETA

Going vegan is not only the best way to spare cows, buffaloes, chickens, pigs, fish, and other animals pain and suffering but also a vital way to prevent habitat destruction and mass wildlife extinction. Vast amounts of land and other resources are squandered on raising animals for meat, eggs, and dairy “products”. Raising animals for food uses up nearly half the global land surface area, turning forests and other ecosystems into grazing land for the animals or cropland to feed them.

Researchers at Florida International University in the US believe that the demand for meat will cause more worldwide species extinctions than all other factors,, “Livestock production is the single largest driver of habitat loss, and both livestock and feedstock production are increasing in developing tropical countries where the majority of biological diversity resides.”

Scientists from the Institute of Social Ecology in Vienna say that the only way to meet the expected global food demand in the year 2050 – without sacrificing any forests – is for everyone to go vegan.

To help PETA India call attention to the need for humans to share the world with wildlife and other animals – and stop eating them – Garicature designed the colourful and creative images below. If you haven’t yet gone vegan, please order a free vegan starter kit and help save countless animals.
