Fans Can Help PETA Decide Whom it Will Choose as a Winner by Voting for Their Favourite Vegetarian Vixen and Meat-Ditching Man at PETAIndia.com
Mumbai – Ever since the nominees were posted for People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA) India’s Hottest Vegetarian Celebrity 2014 contest, Queen hottie Kangana Ranaut and Haider star Shahid Kapoor have been raking in the votes. Hot on their heels in the contest are Narendra Modi, Amitabh Bachchan, R Madhavan, Rekha, Jacqueline Fernandez and Neha Dhupia.
Ranaut won the title of PETA’s Hottest Vegetarian Celebrity in 2013. Says Ranaut, “We must not eat other animals. Besides, vegetarian organic food is far more healthy minus all the toxins”. And Kapoor – who was named PETA Asia-Pacific’s Sexiest Vegetarian Man in 2011 and PETA India’s Sexiest Vegetarian in 2009 – starred in a sizzling ad campaign for PETA India that read, “Chicks Love a Vegetarian”.
“These stars prove that being vegetarian is super-sexy”, says PETA India Manager of Media and Celebrity Projects Sachin Bangera. “There’s no easier way to put passion into your life than to put compassion into your diet.”
In addition to causing animal suffering on a massive scale, eating meat and dairy products has been conclusively linked to heart disease, strokes, diabetes, cancer and obesity. And a recent United Nations report concluded that a global shift towards a vegan diet is necessary to combat the worst effects of climate change.
PETA India will announce the winners – who will be selected based on several factors, including vote count – in December. For full contest details and to cast your vote to help PETA decide whom it will choose to win, please visit PETAIndia.com.
