PETA India’s Donation Refund Policy
PETA India has instituted a donation refund policy to ensure fair and transparent processing of requests for the refund of donations, as digital payments are becoming more frequent. We expect that all donors will exercise due diligence when making donations. We also recognise that a donation may be made erroneously or that donors may change their mind. PETA India will examine requests for refunds and endeavour to approve them. In doing so, we may ask for a reason for the refund. We may also require documents and further verification from the donor.
PETA India is not obliged to give refunds on donations and may, at our discretion, decline any requests, particularly if an 80G Certificate was issued.
Your refund request must contain the following:
- The date of the donation
- The amount of the donation
- The method of payment
Your request must reach PETA India’s office within seven days from the date you made the donation.
The refund process may take seven to 30 business days, depending on the availability of the information from the third party (e.g. credit card companies and banks) through which the transaction was processed.
