Mamma Mia! Little Italy Celebrates Vegan Eating

Posted on by PETA

With locations in Mumbai, Pune, Bangalore, Chennai, Hyderabad, Jaipur, Aurangabad and Mahabaleshwar, Little Italy Ristorante put vegetarian Italian dining on the map in India long ago. But its list of menu options that are free of meat, eggs and dairy products has vegans and those interested in vegan eating spoilt for choice, too!

Start your Mediterranean meal with an Italian tradition: minestrone soup with lots of fresh vegetables in a rich, hearty broth. If you like salads, you’re in luck: Little Italy’s delicious Contadina salad features leafy greens, green beans, onions, tomatoes and fresh basil tossed with extra-virgin olive oil.

No Italian meal is complete without bruschetta, which comes piled high with diced tomatoes and is topped with garlic, olive oil and oregano. If you’re in the mood to indulge a bit, Little Italy’s got you covered with its tasty onion rings. But for the main event, get your fill of one of the many delish pizzas, cooked in a wood-burning oven. The Zorba comes with fresh tomato sauce, mushrooms, olives and garlic, and the simple Sadu is topped with fresh tomato sauce, garlic, olive oil and oregano. And don’t miss out on Little Italy’s scrumptious pastas. Our favourite is the spicy All Arrabbiata, which is made with your choice of pasta and features fresh tomato sauce, garlic, chillies and parsley.
