petaDishoom’s first ever March for Animals took place in Pune on Monday and it was a major success! We met at the boys’ hostel of COEP Pune and marched from there to Sambhaji Park on Junglee Maharaja Road. During the march, which was led by Himanshu from World Alliance for Youth Empowerment (WAYE), everyone held placards and shouted slogans urging people to go vegetarian. All marchers wore T shirts provided by Staeta who also gave out free soya milk to the participants. Everyone had a great time, and we received a lot of media coverage for the event. I’d like to take this opportunity to thank the 300 people that came out to participate—we couldn’t have done this without you!You can see pictures from the event below. And if you don’t want to miss out on future events, be sure to sign up for the enews!
