The PETA India Pack Runs for Abused and Abandoned Animals

PETA India employees showed their dedication to animals by running this year’s Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) 2026 Bengaluru 4.2K, raising funds to power our emergency rescue work.

The PETA India squad gathered at the starting line at the Rajinder Singh Institute Cricket Ground. Ritesh from fundraising led the charge in a geometric monkey mask – a reminder of the monkeys injured by power lines, exploited in street shows, and the many other animals who rely on our response teams for help.

The starting gun sounded just after daybreak, and the PETA India Pack – part of a sea of 32,000 runners – surged forward along the Majja Run route through central Bengaluru. The early kilometres were a swirl of colour and energy, with dhols, music, costumes, and cheering crowds creating an electric atmosphere.

Fuelled by the urgent need to support round-the-clock rescues, lifesaving surgeries, and the skilled hands that mend wounded paws and broken wings, our runners kept a steady pace.

As they neared the finish line, the team drew smiling crowds, with many onlookers asking to snap selfies with our monkey mascot. Each interaction sparked a conversation about compassion, helping spread the message that every animal is someone deserving of respect, care, and protection.
