1 cup urad dal
3 cups boiled rice
Salt, to taste
Oil for greasing
- Wash the rice and urad dal separately and soak them separately for 8 to 10 hours. Then grind the rice and urad dal separately into a very fine paste.
- Mix the rice and urad dal together, add salt and let the mixture ferment for another 8 to 10 hours. Once the batter rises, it is ready to use.
- Lightly grease a flat frying pan with oil and spread the batter in a thin round circle. Brown on both sides and serve hot with chutney.
