Zoos Are Out and Compassion Is In at Mysore Fashion Week

Posted on by PETA

One of the best things about fashion is the opportunity to express one’s self freely, but not everyone has the luxury of such liberty. The animals stuck in zoos are forced to spend their lives locked behind bars and are denied everything that is natural and important to them. The stress and deprivation of life in captivity causes many animals to become neurotic and constantly bob their heads, pace back and forth and even mutilate themselves. That’s why Mysore Fashion Week is collaborating with PETA on our “Fashion for Freedom. Say NO to Zoos” campaign to spread awareness about how cruel zoos are.

Compassion is in. You can be on-trend at Mysore Fashion Week starting 4 September by visiting PETA’s stall – look for the “Mysore Fashion Week Supports PETA” backdrop to find us. Guests can pick up “Fashion for Freedom. Say NO to Zoos.” badges.
