Pamela Anderson: A True Star for Animals

Posted on by PETA

I’ve got some great news for all you animal lovers out there! Pamela Anderson’s letter to the Municipal Commisioner Jairaj Pathak sure made waves and struck a chord with the Supreme court of India. Pamela wrote this letter after HC gave a ruling saying that stray canines that ‘create a nuisance’ by, say, barking too much, can be killed. The verdict applied not only to the estimated 70,000 stray dogs in the city, but to canines in all of Maharashtra and Goa.

In the letter, Anderson wrote, ”Dogs cannot use condoms, but with the municipality’s help, they can be ‘fixed’ — painlessly, quickly and permanently.” Following her letter, the Supreme Court made an official ruling outlawing killing of stray dogs.

When the Baywatch star speaks, authorities definitely listen. Join Ms. Anderson and raise your voice for animals by becoming a member of the petaDishoom Street Team.
