Cats Up for Adoption Named After Raveena Tandon & Her Kids

Posted on by PETA

The ravishing Raveena Tandon is mentioned in the hit song “Ladki Beautiful Kar Gayi Chull” – and as if that weren’t enough to show how much her fans love her, Alia Bhatt recently performed to the star’s famous “Tip Tip Barsa Paani”, wearing the same saree that Raveena wore in the 1994 music video, and the homage became an instant hit. Furthermore, PETA has named three rescued kittens after Raveena and two of her children, Rasha and Ranbir.

Two of the three orphaned kittens – who are currently sheltered at the PETA office in Mumbai – were rescued from the streets during the monsoon rains, and the third was found inside a car engine. All three are up for adoption and were named Raveena, Rasha, and Ranbir after the actor – a long-time supporter and friend of PETA – pledged to pay for their initial vaccinations and sterilisation.

“When we informed Raveena – who has already adopted dogs from an animal shelter and the streets – about these kittens, she immediately stepped forward to cover the expense of their initial medical care and sterilisation”, says PETA India Associate Director of Celebrity and Public Relations Sachin Bangera. “Raveena is always on the lookout to help animals in need – including Raveena, Rasha, and Ranbir the kittens. We hope to find permanent, loving homes for them.”

PETA is willing to transport them within driving distance or even a one-day train ride from Mumbai at our expense.
