As many workplaces and corporations are looking to support the work of charities and are conducting their own employee workplace-giving fund drives, PETA would like to ask for your workplace’s support of our unique, life-saving work for animals. We fight against animal cruelty and exploitation on all fronts all over the world, including protecting and saving animals from suffering in circuses, on factory and fur farms, in puppy mills, in rodeos, in bullfights, in zoos, in the meat and leather industries or wherever an animal is in need. We expose laboratories and companies that abuse animals, work for a permanent ban on animal testing and reach out to the millions of children in elementary schools in India and throughout the world with our unique humane education programme.

We also rescue animals caught in natural disasters or other crisis situations, including the recent tragedies in New York City. Within hours of the attacks, we rushed eight staff members and three specially equipped vehicles to New York from our US office to rescue animals who had been separated from their human guardians, reuniting with their overjoyed families many who had been locked without food or water in buildings near the ‘hot zone’. After the devastating earthquake that hit Gujarat on 26th January 2001, we donated funds toward supplies and medicines needed to care for injured animals.
