Online Marketing Coordinator

Position Objective:
To promote animal rights through PETA's website and elsewhere on the internet

Term of Employment:
Full-time

Reports To:
Chief Functionary

Primary Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Coordinate PETA's online marketing and advocacy efforts and initiatives
  • Write and coordinate online activism content for PETA's website, using engaging text and enticing ideas to maximise participant involvement
  • Write and coordinate the sending of e-mails to PETA's e-news subscribers and activists, analysing the results to ensure improvement in e-mail marketing metrics
  • Maintain PETA's Facebook page and other social media profiles and initiatives (ie, Orkut and Twitter)
  • Oversee PETA India's online ads ensuring optimisation of participation and spending
  • Track and analyse web traffic and all online marketing efforts, ensuring consistently increasing effectiveness and participation
  • Research and explore new promotions possibilities and internet technologies
  • Perform any other duties assigned by the supervisor

Qualifications:

  • College degree in a related field or several years of equivalent experience
  • Proficient computer skills, including skills with Microsoft Word and Excel
  • Proven previous web writing experience and knowledge of Search Engine Optimisation
  • Demonstrated excellent working knowledge of the internet and social media
  • Demonstrated knowledge of animal rights issues and campaigns
  • Proven creative ability
  • Demonstrated excellent analytical skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Proven ability to work well under pressure and within tight deadlines
  • Demonstrated excellent organisational and interpersonal skills
  • Proven ability to work independently and cooperatively
  • Commitment to the objectives of the organisation
